Details: https://www.apple.com/de/legal/privacy/.

2. No data collection by the provider

BoardCalc works entirely offline on your device. All data you enter – projects, quotes (including any customer details you enter), offcut inventory, estimates and your business details – is stored locally on your device (a JSON file in the app's "Application Support" folder). There is no account, no analytics or tracking and no advertising, and the app does not transmit any data to the provider or to third parties. The provider has no access to your data. Your data leaves the device only if you export or share something yourself (section 3) or if your device backup (e.g. iCloud Backup or a backup on a computer) includes it; your settings and the terms of Apple or the relevant provider apply to that.

This local storage is technically necessary to provide the functions you expressly use (saving projects, quotes and settings) and is therefore permitted without consent (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). If you enter your customers' data, you are responsible for processing it lawfully.

Deleting the app removes all of the app's data from your device. Copies in your backups and files you have already exported or shared are not affected.

3. Export and import

PDF and DXF exports are created, and CSV, TSV, text or XLSX files are read, only when you trigger this yourself. You select import files in the iOS file picker; the app reads them only on your device. The app creates exports as a temporary file on your device (iOS may delete temporary files at any time; they are deleted at the latest when you delete the app) and passes them via the iOS share sheet to a destination you choose (e.g. Mail, Messages or Files). A quote PDF contains the business and customer details you entered; its file name may contain the quote number or the customer's name. The recipient or service you choose is responsible for further processing.

4. Purchase via the App Store

BoardCalc is offered as a one-time paid app on the Apple App Store. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no Pro/Premium tier. Purchase, download, payment, refunds and updates are handled by Apple (in the EU: Apple Distribution International Ltd., Ireland) as an independent controller; Apple processes, for example, your Apple Account and payment data. The provider receives neither personal payment data nor your name. See https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.

If you have turned on "Share With App Developers" in iOS, Apple provides the provider with crash reports and usage statistics for the app in aggregated or non-identifying form. The provider uses them only to find and fix errors and to improve the app (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; legitimate interest in an app that works correctly), does not combine them with other data and deletes downloaded reports as soon as they are no longer needed for this purpose. You can switch sharing off at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers.

5. Contacting us

If you contact us by e-mail or phone, we process your name, contact details and the content of your message to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request concerns a contract or pre-contractual steps, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering enquiries). Providing this information is voluntary, but without it we cannot answer your request. Our e-mails are processed by Zoho Corporation GmbH, II. Hagen 7, 45127 Essen, Germany, as our processor (Art. 28 GDPR) and stored in Zoho's EU data centres (operated by Zoho Corporation B.V., Utrecht, Netherlands). We delete your enquiry 12 months after the conversation has ended unless statutory retention obligations apply. More information: https://formaventus.com/policies/privacy-policy

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77). The authority competent for us is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany; you may also contact the supervisory authority where you live. As the app does not transmit any data to us, we generally hold no data about your use of the app. We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR). We have not appointed a data protection officer because we are not legally required to (Art. 37 GDPR, § 38 BDSG).

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (sections 4 and 5), you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop processing the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. An e-mail to info@formaventus.com is sufficient.
